Allergy & Product Safety Policy
Please read this policy before your party and share it with each child’s parent or legal guardian.
A signed paper consent form is required for every child.
Hand it to your host on arrival, before any products are used. Digital copies are not accepted.
1. Information Before the Party
Please include known allergies and sensitivities in the booking notes so your host can prepare.
The party organiser must share this policy, our product ingredients and the consent form with each child’s parent or legal guardian before the party.
2. A Signed Paper Form for Every Child
Every child needs a completed Product Consent & Allergy Declaration, signed by their own parent or legal guardian. This includes children with no known allergies.
The organiser must hand the paper forms directly to the host on arrival, before any products are used. The host will check them before starting product activities.
Digital copies, emails and booking notes do not replace the signed paper form.
If a form is missing, incomplete or unclear, product activities will not begin for that child until this is resolved. Other suitable activities may still be available.
3. Allergies & Product Suitability
Parents or guardians must declare all known allergies, sensitivities, previous product reactions and relevant skin conditions, and identify which products their child can and cannot use.
Some products contain sweet almond oil, fragrances and other potential allergens. We cannot guarantee a nut-free or allergen-free environment.
Please review the ingredients before giving consent. If suitability is uncertain, seek advice from the child’s healthcare professional and discuss any adjustments with us beforehand.
4. Consent & Adjustments
We will not knowingly use a product containing a declared allergen or a product marked “Cannot Use”.
Products will be used in accordance with their instructions and relevant age restrictions. Where suitability remains unclear, we will leave out the product or activity and discuss available alternatives.
Children may decline or stop any activity.
5. Foot-Spa Health
Parents or guardians must declare known verrucas, athlete’s foot, other foot infections or broken skin on the paper form and tell the host before foot-spa use.
We may leave out the foot spa where necessary for hygiene or safety, while offering other suitable activities.
6. Reactions & Emergencies
All Essex Pamper Bus staff undertake High Speed Training’s Anaphylaxis Awareness course, covering recognition of severe allergic reactions and emergency response, including the use of adrenaline auto-injectors.
Tell the host immediately about discomfort or any suspected reaction. The affected activity will stop.
Parents must provide an emergency contact number, details of any allergy action plan, and ensure prescribed emergency medication accompanies the child and is immediately accessible.
If a serious allergic reaction is suspected, we will call 999 immediately.
7. Your Legal Rights
Signing the form does not waive the child’s legal rights. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or affects your statutory rights.
